A Beach Getaway to Destin Florida
One perk of being in the military is that you get to explore new places all over the country and even all over the world! We had been hearing from all our neighbors that Destin is the place to go for a fun family beach getaway, so that’s what we did!
Being from Pismo Beach, California, we know that summer time is a time to avoid the beach because of all the tourists. So we decided to go off-season, and it didn’t disappoint!
The sand is white as snow and the water is a blue that you don’t see in California or in New England. Destin is truly a magical place!
We stayed at a Marriott that had a beautiful views of the water and a cozy firepit! Much needed since we came in January!
We enjoyed the cutest little coffee shop with yummy lunch treats.

It’s not a Lai family vacation with Cape Cod Chips! Seriously, they are the best!
It is so fun to explore new places together as a family. I’m so thankful that we get the chance to grow together and build memories as our kids are living out their childhood. Thanks for tuning in!
